Connection
In order to establish an SMPP bind, it is necessary to first, create an API Key on the platform in the same way as if you were planning to interconnect with the REST API. You will then need to contact your account manager in order to request that SMPP be enabled on your account. Once this is done your API key will have an SMPP system-id and password assigned to it and these will be shared with you.
The service supports any combination of 'transmitted', 'receiver' or 'transceiver' binds and you can establish as many of each type as you wish as long as the total is within the limit of connections assigned to your account. This limit can be agreed with your account manager.
You should use the following host/port to establish your SMPP binds
Host | Port | TLS Encrypted |

smpp.cpaas.symphony.rakuten.net | 8000 | NO |
