Data Coding Scheme/Encoding

SMPP supports sending the 'data_coding' parameter set to "0”. This represents the default alphabet assumed by the SMPP server. The default alphabet for The Rakuten Mobile MC is GSM 03.38 (see definition at Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GSM_03.38). Setting a data_coding value of 8 denotes that the submission of a Unicode message, encoded with UCS-2. Other bits within the data_coding field to select message class or MWI are permitted and supported where the destination network supporting this functionality.
